SUE ZECCO

Sue Zecco is a certified Master Groomer with both the National Dog Grooming Association of America (NDGAA) and the International Professional Groomers (IPG).

Sue has been grooming for 27 years, having her own business, The Pampered Pet in Paxton Massachusetts since 1977. She began grooming competitions in 1985 and since then has won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at Intergroom, multiple Best in Shows, Best Scissored Dog in show, multiple Best Groomed Poodle Awards, Best All Around Groomer Awards, and her biggest show accomplishments, 1998’s Intergroom International Groomer of the Year, and 1999’s Oster Invitational Tournament’s Grand Champion.

She is also the very proud recipient of the 1998 & 2000 Cardinal Crystal Achievement Award for American Groomer of the Year, and the 2002 Cardinal Crystal Achievement winner for Grooming Contest Judge of the Year. Sue has been a member of Groom Team USA since 1997, and broke all records in 1999 earning more points than anyone in past years at 113.

She participated in the 1999 World Team Competition in England, earning a Silver medal for the team. She also was part of the 2001 World Team Championships in Calgary, Canada, helping the USA bring home the Gold.

She has served on the Board of Directors for the New England Pet Grooming Professionals (NEPGP) since 1985, holding offices as Secretary, Vice-President, President, and also has been the show and grooming contest co-coordinator for the past 10 years. She also co-coordinates the grooming competition for HH. Backer Associates, Celebration of Style Competition in Chicago.

Sue has been an national and international contest judge, speaker, and demonstrator. She is also a spokesperson for Wahl Clipper Corporation. Also adding to her many accomplishments in 2002 she has taken on the job as coordinator for Groom Team USA, Inc.

Sue, her husband, Ray, and their 15 year old son Christopher, breed Standard Poodles under the prefix “Dreamcatcher”. They currently have seven standards, a Bedlington Terrier, two Arabian Horses, three cats, and a cockatiel bird.
