GroomTeam USA Scholarship
Program
The grooming industry
and its supporters have long been the backbone of
GroomTeam USA. From the large corporate sponsors,
and their generous donations, to the everyday groomer
and their meaningful contributions, GroomTeam
USA has appreciated every effort made on it’s
behalf. GroomTeam USA has, in return, rewarded
these supporters with the pride in knowing they
are backing among the best professional pet stylists
in the world. This has been proven time and again
at numerous International competitions.
GroomTeam
USA has come to a point where we can now return
even more to our supporters. With the continued
help of our corporate sponsors, as well as the groomers
themselves, GroomTeam has taken a monumental
step to give back to the industry that has been
our friends and the bastions of our heritage. Having
always fostered the need for continuing education,
GroomTeam USA is proud to introduce
our Scholarship Program, designed to help contribute
to the educational needs of the children of our
industry.
The conception of this
fund coincided with the untimely loss of a dear
friend and longtime GroomTeam supporter,
Lonnie Lange. Lonnie was a teacher. He taught by
his example. We all took lessons from his kindness,
gentle spirit and strong convictions, all of which
made him one of the industry’s most admired and
appreciated figures. What could be more fitting
that to honor the memory of this life teacher than
with the establishment of a scholarship that carries
his name? It is with the blessings of his wife and
soul mate, Rosie, that we can carry on this memory
with the Lonnie Lange Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship fund
has been created exclusively for the children, stepchildren
and grandchildren of active, professional groomers.
This one unique requirement sets this scholarship
fund aside from any other. Only children of grooming
families can take advantage of it. We are now, truly,
groomers taking care of groomers.
GroomTeam
USA has now gone full circle. With the generous
donations by our benevolent sponsors and groomers
alike we can now continue the GroomTeam philosophy
and teaching legacy our beloved friend, Lonnie Lange,
held so dear.
Thank you friends. Thank
you Rosie. Thank you Lonnie.
