Carol Kokkeler

Carol Kokkeler who qualified for Groom Team USA l998, l999, and 2001.

Groom Team seemed such a lofty dream. With a lifetime of grooming already under her belt, Carol entered her first contest in 1994. She immediately began stretching and learning about new subjects like, "Breed profile, balance and symmetry". With lots of help from gracious, experienced, knowledgeable people, Carol slowly began to win an occasional award. In 1998 she was thrilled to achieve Groom Team USA membership and a trip to London, England for the Eurogroom World Team Competition, where she helped bring home the Silver Medal.

Carol has multiple "Best in Show" and "Best All Around" awards. She is an International Gold Medallist and won a Gold Medal at Intergroom's "Rags to Riches" competition. She was honored to receive several nominations for Cardinal Crystal Achievement Awards.

After achieving Groom Team USA membership in 1999, she retired from competition. She wanted to expand her activities in our industry through judging, speaking and joining the Oster Ambassador Program which offers continuing education. This has given Carol the opportunity to give something back to an industry that has given her so much. She's enjoying this period of pursuing new goals. She feels enriched by her new experiences and increased knowledge.

Carol is the owner of Hair of the Dog, Boulder City, Nevada.
